Summer Wave 07

Amidst the stifling heat and an oh-so-dry summer, the DVBS 2007 team is making waves spreading the Good News. There were several months of preparation beforehand and a Teacher’s Training was held at the New Life Evangelical Bible Church on the 24th and 25th of March headed by trainors Judy, Meyo and Lourdes with this year’s theme---Repentance and the theme verse Luke 15:10.

The first wave hit Malabing in 5 areas--- Papaya*, Tadji, Malabing Central and Binogawan from April 9-18. Two hundred ninety kids and teens attended and were blessed. Alongside this wave is the first ever DVBS held at the New Life Evangelical Bible Church and was attended by 129 kids from the neighorhood, most of which are kids who went to Sunday School.

The second wave hit Cordon, Isabela on April 18-22 with 40 children in attendance.

The third wave hit Aurora Isabela in 5 areas also – Sta. Rita*, Victoria, San Juan*, Bolinao* and Bagong Tanza with 220 children attendance from April 23-28.

The feedback from these places have been great and the parents have invited us again for next summer. Like last year, some parents suggested we stay longer than a week and we have been staying 2 weeks in some of the places already as per parent’s and children’s request. The response from the children are overwhelming as well. Many of them have accepted Christ as their Savior and Lord.
